What Are Wisdom Teeth?
Third molars are commonly referred to as wisdom teeth. They are usually the last teeth to develop and are located in the back of your mouth, behind your second molars. Their development is usually completed between the middle teenage years and early twenties, a time traditionally associated with the onset of maturity and the attainment of wisdom.

Very fast and painless procedure. Wisdom teeth extraction was not as bad as I thought it would be. Speaks to the skill of the dentist and staff.

I was able to call and schedule a consultation and surgery within a week of one another. The doctor was very helpful in giving me all the information needed to make the right choice about how I should move forward with my wisdom teeth. On the day of the surgery I was seen quickly, and put to sleep. When I woke up everything was done and I was good to go. I did end up with dry socket, but when I called in at the end of the week with the issues I was having the woman on the phone was very helpful. She offered great advice, and offered to fit me into the schedule same day.

I have been looking to have my wisdom teeth removed for nearly 10 years now but never pulled the trigger because of cost and them not bothering me every day. Well that changed a few months back and from the first time I spoke with the office to schedule the appointment, to a follow up for pain following the process, it was the best decision to come here. The office itself is very clean and professionally kept. The ladies behind the desk were very nice and answered all the questions I had. And Dr. Cohen was a pleasure to meet. I would highly recommend Lakes Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery to anyone looking to have oral surgery done.

Took my daughter in for removal of 4 wisdom teeth. The assistant that supported was awesome. She was so supportive of my daughter and her nervousness and was extremely thorough in discussion of the follow up care. Extremely pleasant experience considering what she was in for. The surgery went quickly and with no follow up concerns.

I will definitely consider any future procedures with this office. After my procedure, the office called me to check on me. After complaining about pain, they called me in office to see if my pain was due anything they could help me with and helped with pain.
- Nita B
Excellent staff! Listened to our concerns about anesthetic and used proper caution. Billing person Jessie, was extremely helpful!

The office atmosphere was warm and inviting from the moment you walk in. The staff was friendly and helpful with my insurance coverage and took the extra effort to see what is best for my family financially to ensure coverage. Dr. Cohen was knowledgable and informative on post and pre-op instructions and relieved any anxiety my daughter had with her wisdom teeth extraction.

I had minimal pain after the surgery until I developed a dry socket, I called up, was told to come in ASAP and they fixed it. I wouldn’t expect to feel like someone is worried about my recovery, but they definitely check on you and offer support.

Every staff member I encountered was professional and personable. They made me feel comfortable in what was initially a stressful situation for me. I was so very thankful Dr Cohen was amenable to scheduling my appointment on short notice. I was in excruciating pain when I walked in to his office, but left feeling confident that I would be pain free very soon. I was not wrong, it was less that 24 hours when I felt like a million bucks. Thank you Dr. Cohen and your wonderful staff for a job well done.

- Mason N

- Charletta W
I was very pleased with my visit. Very fast and friendly.

Mala and Maranda did such a great job in caring for my children while under anesthesia. My son had 3 tooth extracted and I am amazed by how well he tolerated his pain today vs. his pass experience elsewhere. My daughter also had her wisdom tooth extracted. Glad I made the decision to bring them here and the best thing is... They wheel patients down to their car depending on whats being done.
