Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires at least four additional years of accredited hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school.
As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Dr. Cohen and Dr. Israil manage a wide variety of problems related to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions.
We practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise in:

- Wisdom tooth removal
- Cosmetic facial fillers
This also includes reconstructive techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. We diagnose and treat facial pain, injuries, and fractures. Dr. Cohen has a special interest in additional training in non-surgical facial rejuvenation techniques with Botox and dermal fillers.
Our Experienced Surgical & Administrative Staff
The surgical staff at Lakes Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery are experienced, well-trained assistants who aid in the administration of intravenous (IV) sedation, inhalational anesthesia, and surgical procedures in our state-of-the-art office.
Our patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. Our administrative staff is well-versed in health insurance policies and equipped to answer both your dental and medical coverage questions. All of our staff are certified in CPR.
